The Civil Services Appointment Rules have received approval from the Jharkhand Cabinet yesterday. It has been clarified that under the amended rules, the minimum age limit of the candidates for the Civil Services Examination is 21 years. And the age should be maximum 35 years as on 1st August of the advertisement year.
Let us also tell you that 7th to 10th Civil Services Examination was organized simultaneously by JPSC. Then JPSC had fixed the maximum age limit for the examination till 2016.
In this situation, there was a fear that if the examination is conducted in the advertisement coming in the year 2024, then lakhs of candidates between 2020 and 2023 will be deprived of the examination.

According to the information received from the sources, considering the demand and material situation of the candidates, the government is considering increasing the maximum age limit to the year 2020 or 2021.
Preparations have been completed by the Personnel Department to send the proposal for age relaxation to the Chief Minister. After getting approval from the Chief Minister, Cabinet approval will be taken on the age limit amendment in the Civil Services Rules.
According to the information received from the sources of Personnel Department, this time JPSC will organize 3rd Gramin Brahmi and 13th Civil Services Examination.
