Panaji, 3 Feb 2026: The State Level Conference on Policing and Internal Security was held in Panaji in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. Organised by the Goa Police, the conference provided a platform for senior officers and stakeholders to deliberate on internal security, public safety and law and order.

During the conference, a Commendation Certificate was awarded to the Bicholim Police Station for being ranked as the fifth best police station in India and the best in Goa. The conference also highlighted PRISM as a centralised intelligence fusion mechanism to strengthen intelligence-led policing, and the e-Zero FIR system as a citizen-centric initiative to ensure faster registration and response in cyber financial fraud cases.
Addressing the valedictory session, CM Dr. Sawant stated that the State remains committed to professional, technology-driven and citizen-centric policing while addressing emerging challenges such as cybercrime, narcotics, road safety, coastal security and tourism safety. He noted that coordinated action, strong prosecution mechanisms, community engagement and digital transformation are central to strengthening public security and aligning the State’s efforts with the national vision of Viksit Goa, Viksit Bharat.
The conference was attended by the C. Kandavelu, Chief Secretary, Alok Kumar, Director General of Police, Superintendents of Police of various departments and Senior officers from various departments.
